Staci Bernstein, director and our fearless leader, has always had a hand in community building. Many of her clients come from the nonprofit sector where she has been an active leader and advocate for the arts. She’s been directing and producing professionally since 1991 with notable clients such as Microsoft Studios, Seattle Center, Sierra On Line and NHK, one of Japan's leading networks. She teaches in many venues where she infuses others with her zeal for the production process.

Our History: An Endless Series of Name Changes
- Small Planet Productions: In 1991 Staci Simpson teamed up with Malory Graham to start Small Planet Productions, a company dedicated to supporting artists and nonprofit's with video production services.
- IMAGO: In 1994 She sold her share of the company and started freelancing as IMAGO and taking on a broader range of clients.
- ArtSpots: On the side, she founded ArtSpots. In an effort to bring attention to the strength of the local film, this non-profit program produced media art, which broadcast on local commercial television channels such as KING, KIRO, and WB22.
- Magic Baby Productions: Magic Baby Productions was founded by David Bernstein in 1996. In 1999 Staci & David met, fell in love and realized they could bring you a broader range of services and skills by working together. They merged their companies and their lives to become a husband and wife team operating under the Magic Baby name.
- Hero Labs: In 2006 we updated our name to Hero Labs, because we wanted an identity that reflected our friendly nature, passion for a well-told tale, and desire to make you shine.
Just for fun and by popular demand you can download our video "That's My Baby" here.
Warning: We made this video with our friends who are professional stunt-people, please don't try these stunts at home!
